I am a writer, self-shooting director and moving image creative with experience spanning documentary, digital content, short films and artists’ film and video.
My debut feature documentary SMOKING SHORES — which I wrote, directed and shot — follows a surfing community in the Welsh steel town of Port Talbot. The project received funding and support from Truth Department, Ffilm Cymru Wales and Creative Wales, with Michael Sheen and Sonja Henrici (BIRDS OF WAR, MERKEL) executive producing. It has been selected for Sheffield DocFest MeetMarket, Dok Incubator and London Film Festival Works in Progress Showcase, and will have its festival premiere in 2027.
I have extensive experience creating digital content for a wide range of clients — from charities to media and arts organisations to well-known brands. Working across every stage of production, I have directed and shot films all over the world, led creative across campaigns and projects, and built up years of experience as an editor and motion designer.
My short films have screened at film festivals internationally, with my most recent, OUT FOR A WALK, starring Matthew Beard (VIENNA BLOOD, THE IMITATION GAME) and Saskia Reeves (THE OUTRUN, SLOW HORSES), and screening at Drama International Short Film Festival, Filmfestival Kitzbühel and Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
I am also co-founder of the transdisciplinary research group Res Communis, which explores urgent questions of collectivity in the context of rising planetary division and crisis. Res Communis undertakes research, curates learning programmes, creates texts, films and other outputs, and acts as a consultant.
Earlier in my career I worked as a film journalist for Little White Lies and as a producer of artists’ film and video projects with Portland Green.
I attended the MFA Directing programme at the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, and also hold a BA in Film Studies and Philosophy.
